Just spent two days with these amazing ladies learning about Conscious Discipline, our social and emotional learning paradigm. It trains adults to regulate themselves before they attempt to support children. It's trauma-informed, equity focused, and amazing!

On Wednesday August 11th from 9:00am to 5:00pm, St. Albans City School will host a Vaccine Clinic in the Gym. This clinic is to support those 12 and older. The clinic is a Walk-in Clinic - no appointment necessary. Please park by the gym or in the main lot and walk to the gym outdoors. There will be someone at the gym doors to let you into the clinic. Parents can attend with students or students can attend with a parent permission form. Adults are also welcome at the clinic. They are offering 1st or 2nd shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

Congratulations to our Superintendent, Dr. William Kimball, who successfully defended his doctoral dissertation this afternoon! The subject was How Rural New England Superintendents Create Community Engagement. I read it, and it was excellent.

The letter linked below from Superintendent Dirth is relative to starting to bring some of our students back.
As my letter says, we are constantly monitoring health guidelines, State guidance, etc. This appears to be the best move for us at this time, given the information we have. If things change, in one direction or the other, you will be notified.
