During the 2022 - 2023 School year, Maple Run Unified School District held listening sessions and a summit to learn from our community their hopes and dreams for our children and district. In September, the MRUSD Board adopted five goals based on this work and asked the Leadership team to work with the community to develop a five-year strategic plan.
- Rigorous Academics and Expectations
- Consistent Policies to Address Bias and Behavior Issues
- Support Services for Students and Families
- Opportunities for Family and Community Engagement
- Community Education and Action on Inclusion
We invite members of our community to participate either by being part of the Design Committee, which will develop the process and write the plan or by attending two Community Forums to gather input and review sessions.
The Design Committee will develop a process based on five priorities identified during last year’s community and student listening sessions and the community summit event. The community forums will invite more community members to give input on the action steps and indicators of success for each goal. During the second community forum, the community will be able to review the plan to see the captured input in the draft strategic plan.
MRUSD will continue this work with The Creative Discourse Group (TCDG) Associates and the newly formed Design Committee. The Design Committee will have 4 meetings and 2 community forums throughout the school year and then present to the School Board in April 2024.
