Today is the day!!! Tonight is the BFA St. Albans Winter Dance Performance!! The dancers are ready and excited to perform!!! 6 pm in the PAC and it's free!! There will be a 50/50 raffle!

BFA/NCTC practiced a scheduled "Egress/Relocation" drill today, from 1:30pm to 1:38pm. The North Building only relocated to the Performing Arts Center.

The Vermont Air National Guard presented to BFA and NCTC students today. We thank them for coming to share information about career opportunities with our students.

National Honor Society students wrote letters to Veterans today during enrichment.
BFA/NCTC practiced a scheduled "lockdown" drill today, 2:15 pm to 2:22 pm.

JV A and Varsity closed out their regular season on October 17th with dual wins against BHS. Congratulations to JV A on a fantastic undefeated season and we look forward to the jamboree this Saturday at Essex.

Picture retakes have been scheduled for this Friday, October 20th in the Hideaway! If you would like to have retakes or if you missed having your picture taken the first time, please do so on Friday. This will be your only chance for this school year. We ask that all students have their photo taken for school ID and yearbook purposes, even if you choose to not order photos.
I expect retakes will begin around approximately 9:30 or 10:00. An exact time has not been set, as Mr. Tarr will be coming from another school. An announcement will be made when he has his equipment set up and is ready to begin.
** If you are having retakes: Please return the original package of photos you received to the photographer at that time.
** If you had your photo taken in September, but did not order photos and would like to at this time: You may still order photos. Order forms are available in the Main Office. Order forms and payment may be turned in to the photographer on Friday, or to the Main Office after that date.

A planned all-campus (BFA and NCTC) Evacuation Drill occurred today at 2 pm. Completed at 2:07 pm.
Mrs. Aylward's Taste of America and Food and Nutrition classes made Abenaki Flint Corn Bread on October 9th, Indigenous Peoples Day.
BFA/NCTC evacuated the South Building only due to a 3rd-floor bathroom alarm (~10am-10:07am). All clear.

Today, October 4th, a representative from Vermont Army ROTC came to BFA/NCTC to speak about how ROTC can enhance their college or career prospects. We would like to thank them for taking the time to educate students about this opportunity.

Safety Update.
Today, BFA/NCTC practiced a "Secure the School" drill from 10 am to 10:15 am.
At approximately 10:45 am, an alarm was activated on the 3rd floor of the South Building and the South Building only evacuated and then returned to class at 10:51 am.
