Dear Families,
As we prepare to take time off from school for the Thanksgiving break (November 25- November 29, 2024), we want to bring attention to how much we appreciate everyone who has developed a routine for making school and attendance a priority. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn and connect with peers and their teachers.
Bellows Free Academy connects attendance to the world of work and takes it very seriously. We have created an attendance team to help improve student attendance and work towards the MRUSD goal of removing barriers to student attendance. If your child has a difficult time arriving to school on time and/or attending school, here are things that have proven helpful for families to try:
Develop a positive daily morning routine
Consistent sleep routines
Healthy eating, and
Limited screen time.
If your family or your child is in need of support, please reach out to their school counselor.
We want to thank our students and their families who do their best to attend school every day, even when it is difficult. Our faculty and staff work hard each day to make school a welcoming learning environment where students can thrive. Your partnership with us is key to your child’s success. We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes at 8:10 am on Monday, December 2, 2024. Wishing all families an enjoyable, restful, and safe Thanksgiving break.
Sincerely,
Polly Rico, Principal
