WELCOME TO THE BFA SOCIAL STUDIES WEB PAGE

social studies

The BFA Social Studies Department employs current and progressive learning methods and technologies to understand how an interconnected human society works and determine how it can best work in the future. We accomplish this by learning what humanity and societies have created over time and using that understanding to solve and determine where we can go in the future.

Mr. Campbell started teaching at BFA in 1999 and he has been located in B208, across from the gym, for almost that entire time.  Teaching both face to face and online provides the best of both worlds.  He  has a B.A. in History from UVM (1988), a B.A. in Education from Trinity College (1999), an M.A. in Education from Southern New Hampshire University (2007), and Certificate of Online Education from Plymouth State College (2011).  One of the driving goals in his teaching is to set up learning communities where students communicate what they learned rather than telling them what to learn.
